All of these stages can be commissioned in isolation or as a complete design service.
This is a chance for us to meet, and to look at the garden together, to ascertain how the space is to be used and get a feel for what the project might entail. This will be followed by a written confirmation of my understanding of the brief and a written quote for any design work required up to the final masterplan plan stage – to include all necessary construction details, planting plans and plant schedules as required. If you decide to proceed, a written confirmation of the quote is required before work can commence.
An accurate survey of the house and garden is required before any design work can take place. This is either undertaken myself, or in the case of larger more complex sites, a land surveyor. It will show the house, boundaries, existing features and levels required for the subsequent preparation of the garden design.
From the survey, a drawing to scale will enable the ideas for the garden to be presented, and supporting visuals will show how the finished garden will look. This allows us to talk through any minor changes you may wish to make.

This shows the location and spacing of all the plants in the design, and an accompanying schedule lists the plant names, sizes and quantities used for costing and ordering.
If required I can approach contractors to tender on your behalf, to meet with them, and secure the best quote for you. However, you may wish to do this yourself. A detailed specification will allow them to tender on a like for like basis.
